George Malvaney
Principal & Managing Partner, E3 Environmental
George Malvaney is a Principal/Managing Partner of E3 Environmental, an industry-leading company delivering a wide range of environmental, emergency response, and industrial services with more than 20 locations throughout the Southeast and Southwest, and more than 350 years of combined industry experience in the company’s leadership team.
Focused on strategic counsel to lead response efforts, George has led many high-profile responses across the United States. During the Deepwater Horizon response, he served in a key role as the operations manager in Mississippi. In this role, he worked closely with BP officials and Governor Haley Barbour, as well as numerous local and state governmental agencies and entities.
George is a seasoned professional with 37 years of experience in the environmental industry, including 10 years as a regulator with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. He possesses a strong regulatory background with in-depth knowledge of multiple federal and state environmental regulations and programs.
He is experienced in all aspects of hazardous materials management and oil spill cleanup, including on-scene incident management. George has led major response and remediation efforts throughout the US across multiple industries, including transportation incidents involving rail, truck, pipeline, marine, and aircraft, and has directed waste site investigations and air monitoring during high-profile environmental incidents.
George is a published author and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing and primitive camping. He and his wife, Paula, live in Madison County, Mississippi where they enjoy spending time with family, friends and their dogs.
