No train station, no worries: Mobile backs restoration of Gulf Coast passenger rail

Mobile jumped aboard a multi-state effort on Tuesday to support the revival of passenger rail along the Gulf Coast.

But before any train leaves the station, city officials will need to tackle a glaring hole: The city has been without a train station since Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
